Invisalign® is a series of aligners custom-made to fit patient’s teeth and move them in a certain way to create a better alignment. Patients always ask if Invisalign® is a good treatment option for them.
I will highlight few steps that a patient can make to see if invisalign® is a good treatment option.
First of all, what is the goal of the treatment? Are you looking to align your teeth, or have a nicer smile?
Are you looking to have some form of orthodontic treatment but you want to maintain good oral hygiene and are concerned with the risks of gum disease and the high risk of developing cavities associated with traditional braces?
Are you looking to have some type of orthodontic treatment and have a minimal impact on your work or school, with minimal dental visits?
Are you looking to fix your bite, for example, overbite or underbite?
Do you have spacing/crowding issue in the arch? For example, you have crooked teeth, or teeth that are pushed out, rotated, or have gaps between them?
Do you have difficulty cleaning your teeth, or your hygienist has mentioned your front teeth are crowded and it is not easy to clean in between?
If you answered yes to one or more of the above questions, Invisalign® might be the answer! Invisalign® is a good orthodontic option in a wide range of cases, and I highly recommend you explore this treatment option if you have answered yes.
