Dental Choice – Community Involvement – Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta
Our commitment to others' well-being extends well beyond the high level of dental care that we provide in our treatment rooms. Each Dental Choice office in Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta is involved with numerous charities that support the communities in which we're based. We are proud to make a difference in the lives of others through our dental treatments and charity projects. We never get tired of giving people reasons to smile!
Charity Projects
At Dental Choice, we strive to take an active role in the health, happiness, and development of children in our communities. We offer support to local schools. We help under-serviced children in the area receive a warm meal. Our support extends to post secondary students as well. We help provide financial assistance to under-funded students at Grant MacEwan College. We are also proud to sponsor a $1000 award each year for the student in the Dental Assistant program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology who shows the most improvement between the first and second semesters. We have also provided funding to soccer teams that needed uniforms.
The Dental Choice family also supports the Craniofacial Osseointegration & Maxillofacial Prosthetic Rehabilitation Unit (COMPRU), an agency that helps individuals with facial deformities.

Dental Missions
On a global level, our Dental Choice dentists have gone on several dental mission trips to Mexico, Nicaragua, and other countries where many people may not have access to quality dental care. We have also offered monetary support to victims of the 2004 tsunami.
In the beginning of 2011, Dr. Martin, April, and Janelle from our Millwoods location in Edmonton went on the Kindness in Action dental mission to Columbia. Visit our Facebook photo gallery for more photos! Dental Choice is so grateful to have such compassionate dentists and staff part of our team.
NAIT
This year's recipient of our Dental Choice scholarship is Kristy in the Dental Assistant Program at NAIT. This is what she has to say:

Olympic Athletes
Dental Choice is a proud supporter of Canadian Olympic Athletes. We are currently sponsoring Olympic swimmer, Mike Brown, for his upcoming journey to the 2012 Olympics Games in London, England.
