Different cosmetic procedures are available to give patients beautiful, healthy smiles. Each Dental Choice office in Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta offers cosmetic procedures such as dental bonding, teeth whitening, and complete smile makeovers.

Smile Enhancements

Smiles are an important part of everyday human interaction. If you are currently unhappy with the appearance of your smile and are embarrassed for others to see your teeth, then ask your dentist today if they offer cosmetic services that can enhance your smile and help you feel more confident in your overall appearance.

Treatments such as porcelain veneers, dental bonding, tooth-coloured fillings, and teeth whitening can be performed as part of a smile enhancement. Treatment is professionally designed to each patient's individual needs. Some individuals may need only one procedure to make over their smiles, whereas other individuals may require a combination of treatments. Our goal is for each patient to have teeth that are as white, straight, and smooth as possible.

Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is a safe cosmetic procedure that can improve the appearance of chipped, cracked, or discoloured teeth. Dental bonding can also be performed to reduce gaps between teeth and to change the size or shape of teeth.

The procedure can usually be completed in less than one hour. After a tooth-coloured dental resin is chosen to match the patient's natural tooth color, the material is applied to the teeth and smoothed into the desired shape. An ultraviolet light is used to bond the material to the teeth. Once the resin is hardened, it is shaped some more and then polished to a quality sheen.

Dental bonding is often a solution for treating front teeth that need slight cosmetic repairs. To learn more about this cosmetic procedure, please contact our practice today.

Teeth Whitening

Zoom®! Professional Teeth Whitening is a common cosmetic procedure for patients who desire a beautiful bright smile with a very small investment of time. Patients can choose from in-office whitening or take-home trays. Both treatments are very common and can provide results in certain circumstances.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers, can correct a number of cosmetic concerns all at once. They are placed over teeth to conceal imperfections including chips, crookedness, and discoloration. In just two office visits, porcelain veneers can give you a beautiful new smile.

Invisalign® Clear Braces

Smiling couple posing togetherInvisalign® clear braces offer an effective way for some patients to straighten their teeth less visibly. Impressions are taken of the patient's bite and used along with Invisalign® 3-D computer imaging software to create a series of clear retainers. These retainers are worn in succession, each one for approximately seven to fourteen days, until teeth are fully aligned. Invisalign® trays are easily removable so that patients can eat, brush, and floss as they normally would.

Traditional Braces

We also offer traditional braces for patients who are interested in other solutions. Treatment with traditional braces can be completed in about two years, approximately the same amount of time as treatment with Invisalign® clear braces. In addition, modern metal braces are made with more comfortable materials than they were in the past.
