Dentist: I can extract it very slowly if you like.
The Smiths were shown into the dentist's office, where Mr. Smith made it clear he was in a big hurry. "No fancy stuff, Doctor," he ordered, "No gas or needles or any of that stuff. Just pull the tooth and get it over with."
"I wish more of my patients were as stoical as you," said the dentist admiringly. "Now, which tooth is it?"
Mr. Smith turned to his wife Sue. "Show him, honey."
A little boy was taken to the dentist. It was discovered that he had a cavity that would have to be filled. "Now, young man," asked the dentist, "what kind of filling would you like for that tooth?"
"Chocolate, please," replied the youngster.
My cousin, who had just opened his dental practice, was dismayed when his mother told him she was embroidering a Bible verse to hang on the wall of his waiting room. "Mom, you just don't put Bible verses in dentists' offices," he groaned. His mother assured him that he would like it. He did. The verse his mother had chosen was Psalms 81:10:" . . . open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it."
Brother Giovanni Batista Orsenigo of the Ospedale Fatebennefratelli, Rome, a monk who was also a dentist, kept all the teeth he extracted during the time he exercised his profession from 1868 to 1904. In 1903, the number was counted and found to be 2,000,744 teeth, indicating an average of 185 teeth, or nearly six total extractions a day!
Walter Arfeuille of leper-Vlamertinge, Belgium; lifted weights totaling a massive 281.5kg a distance of 17cm off the ground with his teeth in Paris France on the 31st March 1990.
Robert Galstyan of Masis Armenia, pulled two railway wagons coupled together, weighing a total of 219.175kg a distance of 7m along a railway track with his teeth at Shcherbinka, Moscow, Russia on 21st July 1992.

Toothbrushes with nylon bristles were first developed in 1938. However, toothbrushes with bristles made from other materials existed long before that. In fact, China developed the first toothbrush with bristles in 1498. Materials first used included bristles from hogs, horses, and badgers.
According to a study at Guy's Hospital in London, the acid in wine was shown to erode the enamel on teeth. A wine taster had been exposed to so much wine that only the fillings were protruding in some of the subject's teeth. Any individual who tastes wine or drinks wine often should clean his or her mouth at least twice a day. Typically, red wine causes the worst stains on teeth.
