About Dr. Godlewski
Dr. Joanna Godlewski has clearly demonstrated academic and professional excellence in her pursuit to be your exceptional dentist. After graduating with honors at Exploits Valley High School, she continued with a degree in Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honors) at the University of Western Ontario, and then earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Manitoba.
Dr. Godlewski was a part-time instructor at the University of Manitoba, doing pre-clinical teaching of Dental Anatomy and Occlusion to first year dental students. She has worked with the geratric population of Winnipeg, providing quality dental care to long term care facilities as well as those in assisted living situations. She has also travelled to provide dental care to underprivileged children in Barquisimeto, Venezuela with Kindness In Action.
She has continued her education with a variety of courses in cosmetic treaments and has most recently stayed abreast of the most current methods and material at the world renowned Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education. Dr. Godlewski is a member of the Alberta Dental Assocation, Canadian Dental Association and Legacy Dental Club. She is also certified in nitrous and oral sedation.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, baking, photography, yoga and travelling.

I am so scared and anxious when it comes to visiting the dentist that my last cleaning and check up was over a decade ago. I was able to get in to see Dr. Godlewski very quickly when I started getting a severe toothache. When I arrived everyone was so friendly with me. They knew I was really scared and they walked me through everything and kept assuring me that I was doing fine. They seemed to be genuinely kind people and made me feel at ease. I am so happy I lucked out when I tried a new dentist that I just found in a google search. Dr. Godlewski was especially kind and she could tell I was really worked up and she answered all my questions patiently and took the time to explain the things that I was most nervous about. I felt like these people wanted so badly for me to have a good experience so I would stop neglecting my mouth and they really wanted to help me, not hurt me. They were all very gentle and I left my appointment feeling more confident in dentists and hygienists than I ever have. Dental Choice in the West end is definitely my new dentist, and my husband is also switching. Thank you to all the staff - I was so terrified!
